Harden nets 40 as Thunder down Suns

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - James Harden scored a career-high 40 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Phoenix Suns, 109-97, at US Airways Center.

Kevin Durant added 29 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, while Russell Westbrook contributed 15 points for the Thunder, who won for the fifth time in seven games.

Oklahoma City remains a half game back of San Antonio for the top spot in the Western Conference after the Spurs also won on Wednesday.

Jared Dudley netted 21 points to pace Phoenix, which lost for the third time in five games and sits a half game behind Utah for the eighth seed in the West with four games to play.
