ANNANDALE, Va. (WUSA)  -- Fairfax County authorities say that five juveniles were charged with using improvised explosive devices or "bottle bombs" at condominiums in Annandale in July.

According to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue officials, the juveniles are between the ages of 13 and 17. They were charged on Saturday with "manufacture, possession, use of fire bombs or explosive materials or devices" under Virginia Fire Code 18.2-85. The charge is a class five felony.

The charge stems from an incident on July 25 in the 3500 block of Wodoburn Road at the Condominiums at Woodburn. The plastic bottle devices didn't injure anyone or cause property damage, say authorities.
