FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) - A Fredericksburg homeowner says he's trying to figure out ways to keep cars from crashing onto his property.
One that smashed through a wall and came to rest in a kitchen at Bryan Stableford's home this week was the sixth such accident to occur since he moved there in 1988.
Stableford tells The Free Lance-Star (http://bit.ly/OFeNsG) the problem is a curve in the nearby road that speeding cars fail to negotiate.
Stableford says he thought lightning had struck when the latest accident occurred. Police charged a 21-year-old woman with driving under the influence and reckless driving.
Despite the accidents, Stableford has vowed to stay in the home, although he'll consider building a barrier in the front yard.
