Mood Shifting Among Occupy Protesters
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA)-- Occupy DC protesters spent Friday night holding an action they called a "No Sleep Slumber Party" at McPherson Square.
The action is in response to orders from U.S. Park Police that sleeping won't be allowed at the park because that would violate the no- camping policy.
It was on Monday that U.S. Park officials told the protesters to leave. However, they've remained and still no police action has been taken.
The mood however is shifting. The usually celebratory crowd is now as they say "more vigilant". Their future on the park is assessed on a day to basis, and many are keeping an eye out for when police arrive to evict them.
Thom Regis who is on a sleeping strike said, "We're just trying to hold our ground as much as we can", about the uncertainty over whether police will move in and force them out.
