Lesli Foster | Weeknight Anchor

Lesli Foster is an Emmy award-winning journalist who co-anchors 9NEWS NOW at 5pm, and is the solo anchor on 9NEWS NOW at 6pm. She also leads the 9NEWS NOW Consumer Unit, covering major consumer issues that affect area residents.

JC Hayward stands out as a gem in the shining crown of broadcast journalism in Washington, DC. As the DC market's first female anchor, she celebrates 39 years as an anchor at WUSA9 and was recently inducted into the National Association of Broadcast Journalists' Hall of Fame.

Derek McGinty | Weeknight Anchor

Derek McGinty is the weekday anchor for 9NEWS NOW at 7pm and weeknight co-anchor for 9NEWS NOW at 11pm. From March 2001 to June 2003, he was co-anchor of ABC NEWS' overnight broadcast, World News Now, and anchor of World News This Morning. Additionally, Derek was a correspondent for "HBO's Real Sports" for 4 years.

Anita Brikman | Weeknight Anchor

Anita Brikman came to 9NEWS NOW from WPVI-TV, the ABC affiliate in Philadelphia, where she began in 1994 as their featured medical reporter, and shortly after joining the station also assumed various news anchor duties. Among other assignments, she traveled to Indonesia following the disastrous tsunami to chronicle a medical relief mission undertaken by American physicians.

Andrea Roane | Weekday Morning Anchor

Andrea Roane has been with W*USA 9 since 1981, and currently co-anchors 9 NEWS NOW from 4:25 a.m. - 7 a.m. Andrea is best known to viewers for her passionate reporting on breast health issues and promoting the importance of Early Detection in the fight against breast cancer.

Bruce Johnson | Weekend Anchor & Reporter

Bruce has been a reporter and anchor for WUSA 9 for more than 30 years with an emphasis on politics and urban affairs. When not anchoring the weekend evening news, Bruce can be seen weekdays covering breaking news and uncovering political scoops in the nation's capital.

Andrea McCarren | Reporter

Andrea McCarren is a reporter at WUSA-TV, where she began her Washington, DC news career in 1991. Andrea's reporting has earned the Edward R. Murrow Award, 8 Regional Emmys and dozens of local and national honors.

Kristin Fisher | Reporter

Kristin Fisher is an Emmy-Award winning, one-man-band reporter. She films, edits, writes and reports live for the weekday evening newscasts.

Jessica Doyle | Reporter

Jessica Doyle joined 9NEWS NOW in February 2009 to cover business, Wall Street and consumer news.

Bruce Leshan | Reporter

Bruce Leshan joined 9NEWS NOW as a general assignment reporter in July 1995. Prior to coming to WUSA9, Bruce was a reporter for WBFF-TV in Baltimore, Maryland where he covered politics, City Hall, the environment and special projects.

Topper Shutt is Chief Meteorologist for 9 NEWS NOW and appears weekdays on the station's 5pm, 6pm, 7pm & 11pm newscasts, as well as throughout the day and night during all major weather events affecting our region.

Howard Bernstein | Morning & Noon Meteorologist

Meteorologist Howard Bernstein joined 9NEWS NOW in November of 2000. You can now see him reporting the weather weekdays on the 9NEWS NOW in the mornings from 4:25-7:00 AM and again at Noon.

Anny Hong | Meteorologist, Reporter

Anny Hong joins WUSA9 as a Meteorologist/Reporter from KOVR, the CBS affiliate in Sacramento, Calif., where she worked as a Meteorologist/Reporter/Anchor.

Kristen Berset | Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter

Kristen comes to the DC area from WBFF in Baltimore, where she was the Weekend Sports Anchor and part of the team that won the Chesapeake Bay Region AP award for Best Year Round Sports Coverage.

Dave serves as a Digital Correspondent focusing on features of High School student-athletes.  In the fall, he assists with high school football on Friday nights, and he also hosts Sunday Sports Plus.
