Anny Hong joins WUSA9 as a Meteorologist/Reporter from KOVR, the CBS affiliate in Sacramento, Calif., where she worked as a Meteorologist/Reporter/Anchor. Most recently, she spent the last year in Paris studying French at the Sorbonne University. She comes to WUSA with more than a decade of experience. She has a meteorology degree and is eager to bring the forecast to our viewers.
Anny was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon, home of the University of Oregon Ducks. While she did take courses at the U of O during her senior year of high school, Anny considers herself an Orange-woman after graduating from Syracuse University in Upstate New York. Anny's first job was during her senior year in college. She was a one-man band reporter in Watertown, New York. This is where she shot, wrote and edited her pieces. After stints in New York, Oregon, Fresno, and Sacramento, she's continuing her passion of forecasting and telling stories.
As a Korean-American, Anny is always on the look out for the best Korean restaurants in the area. She's also trying to find the best baguette and pain au chocolat in the DC area.
